Home doesn’t always stop at the front door

Home doesn’t always stop at the front door — especially for our pets.
Gardens, patios and outdoor spaces are part of their world too. Places to watch, listen, rest and simply be close to us while we enjoy time outside. But just like indoors, pets need something familiar when they’re out in the open.

A garden can be stimulating, but it can also be unpredictable. Cool ground, damp grass, uneven surfaces, changing temperatures and constant movement can make it hard for animals to truly settle. Without a defined space of their own, many pets remain alert rather than relaxed — always ready to move, always slightly on edge.

That’s why having their own place outdoors matters.

A comfortable pet bed or mat in the garden gives animals a clear signal: this is your spot. A place to lie down, stretch out and feel secure while still being part of the moment. It helps insulate them from cold or hard ground, offers support for joints, and creates familiarity in an environment that’s constantly changing.

At Hanwell, we believe comfort shouldn’t be limited to indoor spaces. Whether your pet is resting in the sun, watching the world go by or taking a break between playtime, having a dedicated place helps them relax properly — even outside the home.

It’s not about keeping pets indoors.
It’s about giving them comfort wherever they choose to be.

Because when animals feel safe and supported, they don’t just rest better — they enjoy their surroundings more. And those quiet moments in the garden, shared side by side, often become the ones we remember most.

So tell us — when your pet spends time outside with you, do they have a place that truly feels like their own?
